Talisman of Beasts makes Magic/Faith builds quite viable if not the default for mage casters. Royalty is not really "all that" though. All it does is come with a mana regenerating ring. You can also get it by trading a telescope to a birds nest right after beating the first boss. The scaling on faith weapons are pretty crappy still. You get more dps from the normal paths and having either Str or Dex up. Buffs are just meant to amplify damage further, which you can't do with the faith path if i'm not mistaken. The high Faith means a lot of players build a character around that stat, and weapons that scale damage with it. That means using blessed weapons like the Blessed Mace +1 you can find early on in ...The scaling on faith weapons are pretty crappy still. You get more dps from the normal paths and having either Str or Dex up. Buffs are just meant to amplify damage further, which you can't do with the faith path if i'm not mistaken.
